Tim Hudak Sets PC Caucus Priorities for Spring Session of the Legislature

Sarnia, ON-Bob Bailey, MPP for Sarnia-Lambton expressed his support today for Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak, following his announcement which outlined the three key priorities that the PC Caucus will be focusing on during the spring session of the Ontario Legislature.

These priorities included:
- Fighting for more private sector jobs and a stronger economy.
- Demanding more accountability from the McGuinty Government in the wake of their growing list of scandals and mismanagement.
- Defending Ontario families currently struggling with a rising cost of living thanks to Dalton McGuinty's disastrous tax-and-spend policies.

"Dalton McGuinty's tired, out-of-gas administration has failed to respond to the demands of Ontario's economy.  At his current rate of spending, Dalton McGuinty will end up doubling Ontario's debt by 2012-2013 without any new private sector jobs to show for it," said Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak. "There is no excuse for Dalton McGuinty to hand out billions of dollars to a foreign multinational conglomerate like Samsung without the guarantee of a single Ontario job.  Dalton McGuinty must explain why he is prepared to keep handing out sweetheart deals to foreign-based multinational corporations while Ontario businesses are left to struggle."

The Ontario PC Caucus will also use the Legislature to ensure that the public receives the answers they deserve on Dalton McGuinty's health care scandals, fiscal mismanagement, $3 billion HST tax grab, and multibillion dollar sweetheart Samsung deal.

"It's time for the government to seriously refocus," said MPP Bob Bailey. "Thanks to Dalton McGuinty's disastrous economic policies, middle class families and seniors are under siege from higher taxes, higher utility bills and higher insurance premiums. Tim Hudak and the PC Caucus have a plan to create jobs across the province and stop the scandals that have plagued the Liberal government. It is time for McGuinty to take responsibility and listen to Ontarians."
